    September Update: The Room Three

We’re happy to report that we're making great progress on The Room Three; many bugs have been ironed out and the game is now 100% playable from start to finish with all the puzzles in place.

All the game text will be back with us soon after being translated from English into French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and new for The Room Three, Turkish & Russian and there’s a few areas of audio still to be implemented, but we’re looking good to enter the Quality Assurance testing phase next week (which takes 2-3 weeks), followed by submitting the game to Apple (which can take 1-2 weeks).

We’ve been playing The Room Three A LOT and we’re very happy with it and can’t wait to get it out there and hear your feedback.

As always, thanks for all your support (and patience!) We read every post, comment, email and tweet we receive and appreciate it's been a long wait, but bear with us, we're almost there.

P.S. It wouldn’t be an update without a couple of screenshots, so this time we visit an all-new location; The Library, check them out on Flickr.

    August Update: The Room Three

Well the end of summer is almost here and as you’ve probably guessed, we’re not quite ready to release The Room Three yet.

We’re making great progress though: the game is pretty much playable from start to finish, so we’re now deep into the process of tweaking the puzzles, writing hints, composing final audio and giving the artwork a final polish. Once that’s all done we’ll be translating all the text, testing it and fixing all the bugs, and then we’ll be ready to release. That process is a little unpredictable, but in reality we’re probably a couple of months away from a release. We’ll post more regular updates over the next few weeks with screenshots and at some point a trailer!

In the meantime here is a sneak peek of an area of the game we haven’t shown yet – The Glasshouse.

Thanks for sticking with us, we read all your posts and comments and we understand how frustrating it is to wait, but hang in there, it will be worth it.

    John Carmack plays Omega Agent

John Carmack of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom & Quake fame who is now the Chief Technical Officer at Oculus VR has written up his 'Public Critique' of Omega Agent in which he describes Omega Agent as his "favorite Gear VR game". Here are a few choice quotes from the man himself:

"I feel immersed in a virtual world, which is the whole point of VR. Being able to see across the entire island gives a great sense of freedom. There is a sense of mystery when you see strange things in the world, and you know they do something, but you don’t know what yet. Discovering hidden passages that lead to interesting places is very rewarding. I feel like I want to “go back there”, which is something only a couple other games have done for me.

The game is full of gameplay. Omega Agent has a simple set of fundamental actions – get things, go places, shoot things, and race time, but it mixes them up into a lot of different missions with a good balance of multiple levels of achievement and gated tiers. The missions usually feel tensely time pressured, but you have the option of free exploration mode, which still has the collection elements in it to add some spice."

You can read the whole thing here and buy Omega Agent from the Oculus Store on Samsung S6 Gear VR.

    Update on The Room Three

Apologies for the radio silence, we're working very hard to ensure The Room Three is the best game it can be and lives up to your expectations. We read every post, comment, tweet and email we receive and understand it’s a pain having to wait, but the iterative nature of game development (plus the fact that we’re really, really picky) does mean that unfortunately sometimes things take longer than we initially expect, so please bear with us in this last stretch of development.

We don't really want to try and pluck a release date out of thin air, as we've proved by now that we're not very good at that! Suffice to say The Room Three is shaping up very nicely; the puzzles are nearly complete with final artwork happening across the game, so we’re definitely getting there :)

In the meantime take a look at a couple of brand new screenshots which have never been seen before on our Flickr page by clicking here, we hope you enjoy them and we’ll post some more very soon.

Thank you for your continued support.
